Enjoy! :”)
Wind blew into her ears, the green scenery practically blinded her, but she still ran, far, far away from everything. She didn’t stop running until she was deep in the mysterious forest. Cold, dark… but also hopeful. And Daphe clung to that feeling. It was what she needed. She slumped against a tree, it’s rusty bark was her anchor. She didn’t want to think about what had happened, but her mind still wandered to the recent events of the day. She had stumbled on a root of a tree and fell, scraping her knees. Then, instead of checking herself for any injuries, she bent over and patted the root. ‘Are you okay Pheobe?’ She had asked. She hadn’t noticed that one of her classmates was behind her and when she turned around, he was standing there, laughing his head off. Then he had called all her class and told them how she had talked to a tree. Then, she whipped out and said ‘At least trees have minds unlike you!’ And then stalked off. Now, finally free of people smirking at her and calling her “tree girl” she rested her head on a branch and looked up at the sky. Just then, she noticed something, a small speck in the sky, it became bigger and soon she could make out that it was a… flying horse? No, a Pegasus. It descended on the grass next to Daphne with a soft thud. Daphne smiled ‘Hello there old friend.’ Then, she walked over to it, and sat on his white back. ‘Let’s go where there is freedom.’ And together, they flew into the horizon. For some people, Daphne looked like a normal school girl daydreaming in the forest, but she was already far away in the clouds.
