/!\ this is based on *my* opinions and experience. i am chinese-american so it may be different for people that are like korean or japenese /!\ being asian. people fake this and some don't. but really, why? why do people want to fake being asian or not wanting to be asian? from my experience, here's why. have you ever thought that being asian was nice? (well, mainly only people who aren't asian think that) in *my* opinion its not as good as you'd think. just because a ton of things come from china or japan or somewhere else doesn't mean being asian is nice. asians can sometimes suffer stress and pain from pressure and strict parents. even i, sometimes do. but what is the story behind working so hard? well, this is what my mom said. "doing good in school and other things helps your adult/future life. if you don't work hard, many things aren't accomplished. working hard pays off and if you don't, your future may be bad. if you don't work hard on school/your education you become lazier and lazier and when you turn the age around and elderly person, your still working. if you stop working, your childrens' life may be as bad. so you see, working hard in early school makes your adult life better" why do people fake being asian so bad mainly on scratch? well, many aesthetic people like @bubble-frog or @luviinqq are asian and sometimes people want to be like them. but being asian (like korean, chinese or japenese) doesn't really change anything. it doesn't change how you make thumbs, banners, projects, etc. neither does it change how you talk or socialize. in fact, many people have gone really far without saying they're asian/being asian. people like @astro-tears. shes gone so far and shes not asian (at least i haven't seen her say that). just because a lot of like smart people are asian (not trying to be offensive) and that things come from the places doesn't mean its all amazing. so please, don't, don't pretend to be asian, please. it doesn't change anything, really. pros -better adult life?? (most of the time) -its interesting culture that's basically all the pros. seriously, i don't even get why people pretend to be asian. cons -stress (most of the time) -strict parents (because they want you "to have a better adult life") -sv!c!d3 problems (it may cause sv!c!d3 sometimes) and there is more its just i don't want to add them <3 so please, don't pretend to be asian, nothing really changes. thank you <3 i love you and thank you for reading <3 - your friend esther ♡♡
