The T-72B3 is the backbone of the Russian military. the B3 variant of the T-72B3 variant began production in mid 2013 and was based off the earlier T-72B (1989) which was nearly identical apart from fire control and weapon systems. and in 2016 russia began to modernize there T-72B3s to modern standards, adding armor packages and newer fire control systems. The T-72B3 Is a lethal tank if used correctly, it has a powerful 780 horsepower engine, a low profile, and very powerful frontal armor. however in recent months the T-72B3 has been known to have an achiles heel, hand held anti tank weapons like NLAW and some RPGs have been taking out these tanks due to lack of active protection systems, lack of infantry support and lack of blowout panels built into the tank. the T-72 is currently the most extensively used tank around the world, with many different variants and used by many different nations.
on second thought this looks more like a T-80U than a T-72B3.
