Teletoon has been edited by TPS Jeunesse in December 16, 1996. It was part of the basic offer of the French satellite service: TPS (Télévison Par Satellite). The word «TOON» in the orange/yellow rectangle inside shows various things, like clouds, fireworks, apple, slime, bubbles, stars, Barbapapa character, etc. However, there is no link between the French and the Canadian Télétoon.
