bastory :00 Sam was a normal cat, just like anyone else. They went to parties, school, and were absolutely normal. Sam had multiple friends, but one who they would spend their entire time with. That was Shrimp, a normal cat who they went to school with. At first Sam thought Shrimp was a weirdo, but then realized they had lots in common. They were friends for years. After a long time of being friends, Shrimp invited Sam to a party. Sam and Shrimp had lots of fun under the string lights and starry skies. Shrimp loved the sky. They both had that in common. The party was were Shrimp gave Sam the flower, the flower Sam would never let die. After that moment, Shrimp broke the news to Sam. She was moving far away, somewhere Sam would never see her again. Shrimp said she didn’t know when exactly she was leaving, so Sam relaxed and spent the evening having fun. Right after that day, Sam woke up and rolled over in her bed to get her phone. She texted Shrimp and waited for a response. There was none. Weird, she must be still sleeping. Sam went to school and didn’t see Shrimp there. Sam reasoned that she must be sick or something. But wouldn’t she have told them? The next few days Shrimp was absent, and wasn’t replying to Sam’s texts. One day in their school, a student came up to Sam and told them. Shrimp had already moved, far away to another state. Sam still remembered her. They knew the stories in books about people who moved, and how they made new friends and didn’t even mention their old ones. But Sam remembered. Hopefully Shrimp did too. Every day, Sam stared up into the sky. Not only because she loved it. Because Shrimp loved it too.
