The Caretaker returns with a long-in-the-making soundtrack to acclaimed filmmaker Grant Gee's documentary about German writer WG Sebald. 'Patience (After Sebald)' is a multi-layered film essay on landscape, art, history, life and loss - an exploration of the work and influence of German writer WG Sebald (1944-2001), told via a long walk through coastal East Anglia tracking his most famous book 'The Rings Of Saturn'. The source material for 'Patience' was sourced from Franz Schubert's 1827 piece 'Winterreise' and subjected to his perplexing processes, smudging and rubbing isolated fragments into a dust-caked haze of plangent keys, strangely resolved loops and de-pitched vocals which recede from view as eerily as they appear. 1 - Everything is on the point of decline (20 pitch) 2 - As if one were sinking into sand (20 pitch) 3 - Approaching the outer limits of our solar system (160 pitch) 4 - When the dog days were drawing to an end (100 pitch) 5 - A last glimpse of the land being lost forever (40 pitch) 6 - The homesickness that was corroding her soul (30 pitch) 7 - I have become almost invisible, to some extent like a dead man (30 pitch) 8 - In the deep and dark hours of the night (110 pitch) 9 - No one knows what shadowy memories haunt them to this day (10 pitch) 10 - Increasingly absorbed in his own world (60 pitch) 11 - Isolated lights on the abyss of ignorance (50 pitch) 12 - Now the night is over and the dawn is about to break (30 pitch)
