What is this? ------------------------------------------ This is a project that simulates 3x+1, a mathematical problem which people are attempting to solve, the only problem is that there is an infinite amount of numbers. Watch Veritasium's video about 3x+1 if you want to learn more Notes before playing ------------------------------------------- Odd numbers in the "Numbers:" list up to 407085 will be fine, anything above will break the game. I can't add more due to saving issues :/ Instructions ------------------------------------------- 1. Pick a random number. 2. Then it loads a bunch of numbers in the "Numbers:" list with this rule set: Even: divide by 2 Odd: Multiply by 3 and add 1 3. Press space to go to the next number you want to see 4. Watch every number go through the cycle of 4, 2, 1 at the end Interesting Numbers ------------------------------------------ 9876 - Loads loads of numbers yet so many of them are small 27 - It seems small but the biggest number in the list is 9232! 2345 - Loads 153 numbers! (2nd biggest list I have found) 4690 - Using my new found knowlage, I have found one that is bigger than 2345, 4690! It loads 154 numbers! (biggest I have found) 5 - This has less numbers than three which has 9! 1944 - 101 Dalmations 555, 1110 - I've realised multiplying the same number into an even will just +1 the length because of the way it works lol
