In Candorclan, when kits are born there is a clan-wide celebration held. Cats use berries, leaves, feathers, moss, and bark to dye and decorate the camp. A feast is held, and games are played that allow all cats to join in the festivities. The decoration of the camp continues until the kits open their eyes. When the names of the kits are decided, it is tradition for one of the parents to leap up onto the Fallen Oak and call a meeting in which the names are announced to all of the clan. Though apprentices have a primary mentor, it is not uncommon for a large amount of training to be joint so as to promote community. Queens are considered extremely important to this clan, and their word is considered to be in as high regard as a senior warrior. When a cat dies, their fur is decorated with colorful flowers, leaves, or feathers, along with scent-hiding herbs like lavender. The clan holds a vigil from sunrise to sunset, and the body is buried at moonhigh.
