I watched the Imitation Game recently, and I really enjoyed it. (Also, it is Pride Month, so what better time to release the soundtrack suite for the story of a gay man that changed the world?) As a plus, Alexandre Desplat really brought a lot to the soundtrack for this movie, and since Alan Turing was a mathematician, and his work is what made this possible, I decided to do a suite SQUARED for the Imitation Game! This soundtrack suite is being broken up into three movements, as per a classical suite (thus, suite SQUARED). As usual, you don't have to worry about it: just click the green flag, sit back, relax, and enjoy! Just in case, though, here's some info on each "movement:" MVT. 1: Starting off with the main theme, we then get into some more sad renditions of one of the main theme's leitmotifs, ending off again with a variation on the main theme. MVT. 2: We start off with Joan's Theme, which transitions into Alan's second leitmotif, along with Jean's theme on top, which takes a somber tone-- reflecting the importance of their relationship, but also how it was never what everyone else wanted it to be, due to the fact that Alan Turing was gay. The somber tone of many of these pieces also reflects the hardship Alan Turing faced due to having to hide his sexual identity and the discrimination and cruelty he faced once it was revealed. MVT. 3: We start off with a seemingly fun piece that takes a minor turn, reflecting how the team's fun crosswords and math problems impact the real stakes of the war effort. Afterwards, we go into extended renditions of the main theme, ending it off with Desplat's "The Imitation Game," as we started. TRACKLIST: (Music composed by Alexandre Desplat): [mvt. 1] 1. The Imitation Game 2. The Headmaster 3. Carrots and Peas 4. Mission [mvt. 2] 5. Alone with Numbers 6. Alan [mvt. 3] 7. Crosswords 8. Running 9. Alan Turing's Legacy 10. The Imitation Game This is my arranged suite from a variety of pieces from The Imitation Game: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Alexandre Desplat. Composed by Alexandre Desplat, no copyright infringement intended. I am only arranging his pieces into a suite for the Scratch community. Arrangement may have been done by CodeLord2, but composition is still Alexandre Desplat. Leave a love and favorite (maybe even a follow? lol), if you enjoyed it! Tell me how you felt about this suite and suggest any other suites I should attempt down in the comments below! And most importantly of all, enjoy! --- Tags:
