As part of a new military program, the S.T.A.F has begun production of a modified GAU-4 Concept (Predecessor to the ST-5) as a cheap, easy to manufacture alternative. Although lacking in advanced combat systems, the so-called ST-5B (unofficial name) will be prepared for Operation Macaw.
It will not replace the GAU Series 2Y, but production of the GAU will halt to make way for this. Approved by Hanz
