Well, this resort had a scene where characters walk through a hall of haunted mirrors called "The Oddball Mirror Hall". This AY is a revamped version of that (and no, this AY is not located in or affiliated with the Sᴄʀᴀᴛᴄʜ υИℓîℳî✞Ǝ∂ Rᴇᴍɪx Rᴇsᴏʀᴛ). This newer hall of haunted mirrors has a redesigned interior as well as wackier mirrors! ===== What's New ===== There are more reflection types than the previous Oddball Mirror Hall, not to mention that the mirrors can also change your color and transparency now! ===== How to Add a Character ===== Want to add a character to this hall of mirrors? Follow these instructions carefully to get them in: 1. Click the green "Remix" button at the top-right corner. 2. Duplicate any of the character sprites (right-click on them in the sprite list). 3. Throw out that dusty old character in all of the costumes (except for "Screen-Cheat") & replace them with your character walking, using the costume names as a guide to what they should be. Make sure their bottom/base is at the center of the costumes! Further guidance can be found inside ZYellow's sprite and the "DOs and DON'Ts" sprite. 4. Set the "Hello!" custom block to feature your name and the footstep sound set you want. I also recommend you rename the sprite name, too. The descriptions of these footstep sound sets can be found inside ZYellow's sprite. 5. Test and, if it works out well, add more characters if you want! ===== Rules (don't break them) ===== Only @ZYellow, @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop, , , and are allowed to break these rules. 1. It is polite and REMIX ETIQUETTE to comment "Remixing..." in the comments before starting a remix, so people know not to accidentally split the remix tree's branches. If you don't intend to make a new remix branch, then don't remix if someone has commented "Remixing...". 2. DO NOT BREAK SCRATCH'S COMMUNITY GUIDELINES!! That means nothing too scary or vulgar & no swear words! 3. Don't add or remove anyone from the breaking rules list without permission! Furthermore, don't delete any of these rules or instructions & don't completely change the project title either! 4. Don't delete or destructively modify anything you didn't make! You are allowed to do this if something breaks any rules or the Community Guidelines or if you need to fix a bug or glitch. 5. IMPORTANT: Your reflections on the mirror MUST be what is described by the name of their costumes. DO NOT MAKE IT SOMETHING ELSE! If you do this, then your remix would be guaranteed UNOFFICIAL. See the "DOs and DON'Ts" sprite in the project for more information. 6. IMPORTANT: (PLEASE respect ZYellow's opinion on this) Please don't add any content from FNF, that means no characters, reflection types, AND music tracks from that game. The reason why this is a rule is because there were FNF characters in the other chain of the remix tree that were added that had incorrect reflection types! The worst thing is that they had messed up reflection types in 2 older remixes (that are no longer available). This tarnished ZYellow's opinion on that game (if you like that game, then ZYellow respects your opinion). 7. DO NOT USE GENERIC QUESTION MARK BOXES INSTEAD OF REFLECTION VARIATIONS. If you do this, then your remix would be guaranteed UNOFFICIAL. 8. Don't make your characters too large, that would make it hard to see. I would suggest scaling your character IN THE COSTUME EDITOR to match the size of the other characters before making your other costumes. 9. I don't recommend adding any singular characters that appear to be 2 separate characters (EG: Mario & Luigi both as 1 character), unless they are stuck together with no feasible way to physically detach them. 10. Don't add any characters that are static images, even if you animate them, background included or not (EG: A PNG or JPEG of a Minecraft mob or some other thing). 11. DO NOT add any custom reflection types, but you can utilize the 5 different style reflection types. 12. Please do not add any custom footstep sounds. You are only allowed to use the footstep sounds provided in the character sprite. 13. Don't delete any music tracks unless they break the Community Guidelines. If you don't want to listen to a certain song or genre, utilize the "audio exemption" functionality to make sure you can't. If you break any of these rules, it may result in your remix being declared UNOFFICIAL and becoming abandoned. You don't want that, right? To make sure this doesn't happen, remember to double-check the rules just before you share the project!
Credit to @-nama- and everyone else who remixed. After about a year, I decided to revive the NEW Oddball Mirror Hall since the other branch of the remix tree had characters added to it with incorrect reflection types (I never had the motivation to do this until recently). This is the TRUE remix 9 of the NEW Oddball Mirror Hall, and I made some changes to make this up-to-date. Here are the changes I made: - The text engine has been updated from PTE Ultra+ to the newer PTE++, which is still made by @-Rex-. - 3 new rules have been added, they are what are now rules 5, 6, and 10. I recommend reading them. - A "DOs and DON'Ts" sprite has been added to make sure you do the reflection types CORRECTLY. - ZYella's DIFFERENT STYLE 2, 3, and 4 reflections have been updated to make her look less cross-eyed. - Skylar's SUPERHERO and DIFFERENT STYLE 4 reflections have been updated to match the current appearance of the Strange Vegetables. - Nama's DOODLE and GOO reflections have been updated to follow the basis of their respective reflection type (see the DOs and DON'Ts sprite to see what I mean). - Added one new soundtrack: "Creepy Cavern" (from Mario Party 3, will not play for those who don't like party games). - BUG FIX: The reflections of the characters no longer have a chance to not appear when they're supposed to. Oh yeah, I also had to remove one of the minor and more optional rules relating to music tracks since the instructions would've been too long if I did (yeah, Scratch doesn't like it when the instructions are too long).
