Where was he? Suddenly, it all came flooding back. The memories. Wait...memories? No..it's singular A memory. One single memory. An unknown figure rushing towards him, everything crashing around them."Rex, Rex!" they cried, as their scarf danced in the wind. This figure looked similar. Was it...him? No, they were different. Longer eyelashes, different socks, but the same yellow scarf. "Rex, we need to leave." He found himself saying, "but..I can't. This is our home, we need to protect it" "It's being destroyed. The gods are angry. There is no more home." He deeply sighed and looked at his paws regretfully. "I vow to protect this place until my dying breath." The other being's eyes widened. "Then...I vow to protect you...for eternity" As the last of the debris fell towards them, a bright light was emitted from the other being. It was the yellow scarf. It wrapped itself around his neck. He tried to run towards them, desperately knowing that his companion was vulnerable to the dangerous falling debri. But it was too late. "I will always be with you." That was the last thing he heard before everything went dark. Suddenly, the flashback ended, Rex was brought back into the real world. His promise, to protect this city. He looked around, and saw that it was nearly falling apart. Still, he knew in him that he had to protect it. Walking around the city, he scared of any scientists and researchers who dared to come near. He kept watch until dark, until his eyelids were heavy. He slowly dozed off when...
