When she got home, Gem laid the book on her small reading table. She glanced out the window. It was pitch black outside. Gem looked back at the book. It would have to wait until the morning. Yawning, she lay down in her bed and drifted off to sleep. It was about midnight when a bright glow made Gem wake up. She squinted over at her reading table. The strange glow was coming from the book! Stunned, she walked towards the light and looked down at it. The book’s title read ‘The Book of Origins’. “The Book of Origins…” Gem said quietly, turning her head to one side in thought. The book’s pages flicked open to a page marked with a glowing gemini symbol. The page said ‘The Fox is a sneaky and sly predator’ Gem looked down at the text below. It said ‘Sneaky — When sneaking, Foxes turn invisible. Sharp Claws — Foxes deal more damage with their fists. Carnivore — Their diet is restricted to meat, so Foxes can't eat vegetables. Fragile — Foxes have 3 less hearts of health than humans.’ “Hey! That’s my origin!” exclaimed Gem.
