(I'm making up random stuff now XD) oh and another thing, they're blind. (happens some point in her backstory...)
[this takes place in the world of a storeh I'm writing. I'm going to add her if I win :>] [this is still a wip] ⠀⠀Sayla stared up at the towering castle. Her view of it was slightly blocked by the vines and brambles, but it was easy to tell this was the palace Quin had told her about. ⠀⠀Smirking, Sayla drew closer to the majestic building. It was hard to imagine someone so low, who might've been in prison had they known who she was, lived here. They doubted the girl knew what powers she possessed. How valuable she would be. How valuable she /was/. She was worried, though. The girl, Rowan, she would soon become one of them. The [insert-name-for-em-here-cuz-I'm-too-lazy-to-actually-think-of-one-rn-s]. (ya, still lazy.) ⠀⠀There was no way to avoid it. And, if her mother really had taken her memories trying to protect her, she wouldn't know anything about it. The poor thing would suddenly grow twisting green horns and sprouting... Sayla wasn't sure. Defensive thorns? Bright flowers? They'd seen so many different powers that she could honestly have one she'd never seen before. ⠀⠀Well, it didn't matter what the power was. Because whatever it ended up being, there was no way to deny it: she was illegal. Rowan wasn't supposed to be alive. The best Sayla and her f̶r̶i̶e̶n̶d̶s acquaintances could do was get her out of there. Soon. ⠀⠀Which was why Sayla was there in the first place. Okay, easy. All they had to do was sneak in, grab her, and get out of there without being caught. ⠀⠀/Here goes/, she thought, sucking in a breath. They darted towards the edge of the moat and crouched there. Some people *cough* Lev *cough* would think her pink hair would make it harder to sneak around, but it actually didn't make much of a difference. ⠀⠀Cuz their friend Sedge had made them an /awfully/ useful armband of invisibility. Sayla, being your typical sneak-in-the-night assassin, used it quite a lot. ⠀⠀[ik, ik, sar, just get to the point. it's 9:00 and I can't think ;w; I mean how's she gonna get past the moat?] ⠀⠀[oof I gotta stop lol, staying up this late isn't good for my physical & mental health or my sanity lol] ⠀⠀[yoo, I'm bakk] ⠀⠀Sayla took a deep breath and stepped a few paces back, preparing to jump. /Let's do this/, she thought as they ran and leaped across the moat... and landed in the water, barely holding on to the stony edge of the other side. ⠀⠀[heh, I then forgot about this] ⠀⠀[LOL I JUST REALIZED- ...armband of... lol did Sedge steal that from... snowfall *I'm crying* sorry snowfall] ⠀⠀[me coming back to it like at least three weeks later: uhhhhhhh (I keep forgetting, sorry!)] ⠀⠀Sayla pulled herself out of the mucky water, brushing off the... they were pretty sure they did /not/ want to know what that was. ⠀⠀/Yayy, I'm sopping wet with moat water/, she thought. /I'm just THRILLED/. ⠀⠀And that was why she probably shouldn't agree to quests anymore. Except, of course... this was more important than a little water. ⠀⠀They squinted up at the two towers looming ahead of her. Sayla was pretty sure they didn't have magic- Quin had told her she suspected outlawing people who did was simply an act of envy. ⠀⠀"Envy can be a destructive force of its own," she had said. "I... I think we can all agree on that." ⠀⠀And Sayla could. Sayla knew what envy felt like. They hated the feeling of someone doing better than her, having better than her, and... and it made them want to bash in the heads of some id!ots. ⠀⠀But, anyhow. The inhabitants of the castle /probably/ wouldn't be able to see through the enchantment. ⠀⠀Hopefully. ⠀⠀Sayla gulped and began to scale the east tower, her fingers already rough and bleeding from the jump across the moat. She could do this. Sayla had to keep going, they couldn't give up now, they were so far already... ⠀⠀She'd been taught to fight the pain. She didn't wince at the stones cutting into her palms and fingers like she used to. She could do this. Sayla had been /born/ to do this, practically. Finally, they reached the top, pulling themself over the edge of the battlement. *woweeee thanks google* ⠀⠀*ooooooooh yey here's where my knowledge comes in handy >:)* credits. arte - meh, original - writingggggg/story - also meh character - moosic - Decode - Paramore code -
