Productivity is definitely a good thing, because without it we'd be. . . well pro procrastinators. But there's a certain point where it's unhealthy. ***DISCLAIMER: If you like to be productive all the time time, that's great! You do you!*** Being productive 100% of the time is impossible. You're going to have days when you sleep in, and neglect your tasks. And that's okay. We all have those days. ─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ─── when we try to be productive all day every day, we're eventually going to get burnt out. It's the truth. This is how productivity can be unhealthy, when we obsess over it, and try to be productive all the time. We force ourselves to be productive, and beat ourselves up when we're not productive. Then it leads to burnout. And if you've ever experienced burnout, you know it's NOT fun. The definition of burnout is: a form of exhaustion caused by constantly feeling swamped Keeping a balance of being productive and letting yourself rest is important. ─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ─── So, how do we keep this healthy balance? Here are some ideas to keeping a balance. ◦ Let yourself have cheat/rest days - Sleep in, spend your day doing things you enjoy. ◦ spend time with your family - play board games, go outside ◦ hangout with friends - hanging with your people can be fun and relaxing ◦ take breaks - when you have a long list of tasks to complete, make sure you give yourself breaks ◦ play music - yeah that's right, open Spotify and play your favorite jams, it makes boring tasks a lot more enjoyable ─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ─── and that was it for this weeks newsletter! Like and favorite if you found this helpful. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful rest of your day :)
