The Backrooms Name: Static Wires (cringe ik) Detection of player: Camera/devices send a signal to Static; they then knows where the player is. Static can locate the player when technology is in use easier. If the player does not use technology, whatever technology the player has on them has a small amount of signal. Static does not adjust between signals quickly so it gives the player time to hide. Elimination method: Static either uses their claws or electricity wires (hence where wires came from in the name) How to tell if they are near: Simple, Static always gives off a sound of static. The stronger the static gets, the closer they are. The weaker the static is, the farther they are. How were they made up?: Simple, I was playing a Backrooms game on Roblox (Apeirophobia - name of game, totally check it out) and my friend said that my avatar (that had the TV head) reminded them of a Backrooms character. Originally Static was going to be very similar to The Hound but I decided on something different on the rest of the body but I left the front claws. I then thought of Mommy Long Legs from Chapter 2 of Poppy's Playtime. How she climbed walls and such. So, I then designed Static to have the wires which help travel around on the walls and ceiling. The claws help bring the player to the ceiling and Static then wraps the player in wires. The player either gets eliminated from the claws or the electrocution. Depending on the activity of the player. If running the claws with dig deeper so the probability of being eliminated by the claws are likely. If player is idle, the claws won't do much damage, just to pick the player up and the player will soon be eliminated by the wires.
