--> hello guys! so, I decided to make a short story of a book I wrote. this is only the first chapter, there are more to come. They wore disguises and always knew their way out of trouble. They were an outcast to our city. It had all started when I came into the story. My name is Avira, and I grew up living in a small house with not much food or money. My mother and father owned a bakery together, so they would be there a lot and I would be stuck at home, alone. Once in school, we were learning about the ancient history as I was doodling on my notebook. History could be so boring sometimes. "Avira, can you answer this question?" Mrs. Myers said as she turned to me. Before I could answer I saw something out the window flashing rapidly. I blinked a couple of times to see what happened but it just kept on flashing. "I- don't know." I said as I trembled with fear. I knew the answer but I couldn't really think at that moment "Hmm, I thought you knew this.. but fine, I'll just call on someone else." She said concerned. I just sat there embarrassed. As the bell had rung and we had gotten dismissed Mrs. Myer called out to me. "Avira, your the smartest student I have, I need you to keep trying and not get distracted." She said firmly. "I understand, sorry." I replied. Then I walked out the classroom and rode on my bike back home. As I was riding it I saw that weird flash again. I was so curious I just tried to see where that flash was going. I looked closer and saw a bunch of people with masks, they looked weird. I followed them to see what was happening and when I got a track of them my jaw almost dropped seeing who they were.
