hello and welcome to my ☆ that girl series ★ where i will be informing you about how to become the best version of yourselves! just so you know, none of these projects in this series is about changing massive things, such as face shape, height etc. i believe that everyone is beautiful, but it does take a while to realise that. in this series, i will be explaining IN DEPTH instead of just listing things with no reason (like in my old account), so please bring a snack or something to drink while reading these! all these are poc, lgbtq+ etc friendly, just because someone is gay or is black doesnt mean they cannot be beautiful. i also highly recommend not using the term ‘pretty’ or ‘hot’ when complimenting people, unless you really reallyy know them, because to me (and some others) it doesnt give the same effect to when you are called beautiful. just a tip:) — — — hygiene is super important. it doesnt just make you squeaky clean and tidy, it is also vital for keeping off diseases and infections. i will be telling you things that need cleaning, and how to clean them! • face, can be cleaned with a damp towel and bath scrub/soap. then apply moisturiser and/or any skincare products • ears + neck, can be cleaned with a towel, or a baby wipe. do NOT clean the inside of your ears (the tunnel), just the outsidey bits (the bigger part of your ear and outside of that) • hair, can be cleaned with shampoo once or twice a week, constant brushing and stay away from dirty air • chest, back + waist, can be cleaned with a mesh scrub + bath scrub/soap • any private parts, should be cleaned with ONLY water (soap irritates) • legs, can be cleaned with a mesh scrub + bath scrub/soap • feet, can be cleaned with mesh scrub + soap. make sure to clean the bottom of your feet and in between your toes! • nails, can be cleaned by using a nail cleaner thing (its this sharpish tool that takes out dirt). long nails doesnt mean they are dirty • arms, can be cleaned with a mesh scrub + bath scrub/soap • armpits, should be cleaned more frequently (especially in summer), with a mesh scrub + bath scrub/soap. if a mesh scrub is too hard on your skin (armpits tickle lol) a soft damp towel or a baby wipe work well too • forehead, should be cleaned with a damp towel + bath scrub/soap. dont scrub too fiercely, just a bit and make sure to moisturise it afterwards • hands, should be washed more than twice a day (more if you have been touching mud or anything unclean/if you have any colds) with hand soap (no body soap, its not designed to clean hands) some of these do seem very basic, but for me maintaining a good hygiene is very hard. some other things to take good care is to ;; • wear clean clothes, wash any undergarments properly so you dont develop any illnesses • make sure you live in a area with clean air, this could mean less pollution, more trees etc. • brushing + flossing teeth, twice a day, maybe put a song while you brush your teeth (dolphin by oh my girl maybe?) • wash hands after touching animals, including pets • brush your tongue, to keep away bad breath • drink water, clears skin (if you drink 6-8 glasses every day), nourishes body, keeps you energised etc • pee, sounds obvious, but pee as soon as you feel you need too. not on the floor though, like in a toilet. holding in pee increases the risk in kidney failure • for anyone who has periods, change your pad every 4-6 hours (less if its very heavy) too reduce staining. or wear double pads (two pads). or use the reusable/washable pads, good for the environment and super cute colours :hearteyez: also make sure you change them frequently so you decrease the risk of any rashes from the material in pads (its super irritating, known from experience:/) • eat healthy, good food = good hygiene. for example, too much sugar creates acne and tooth decay thats it! hope that helps:)
