hello and welcome to my ☆ that girl series ★ where i will be informing you about how to become the best version of yourselves! just so you know, none of these projects in this series is about changing massive things, such as face shape, height etc. i believe that everyone is beautiful, but it does take a while to realise that. in this series, i will be explaining IN DEPTH instead of just listing things with no reason (like in my old account), so please bring a snack or something to drink while reading these! all these are poc, lgbtq+ etc friendly, just because someone is gay or is black doesnt mean they cannot be beautiful. i also highly recommend not using the term ‘pretty’ or ‘hot’ when complimenting people, unless you really reallyy know them, because to me (and some others) it doesnt give the same effect to when you are called beautiful. just a tip:) — — — hacks are usually defined as the ones seen on 5 minute crafts. yuck no, we are not here to put a hook on our forehead and let our glasses balance on them. itll most likely fall as soon as you step out the house. solution? wear contacts not glasses, or just take them off lol • sticking fingers in your ears (deep but not toooo deep) gets rid of hiccups • a person who lies wont make any hand gestures/will stay still • being surrounded by the colour yellow makes you stay focused. the colour decreases the release of melatonin (the hormone to make you sleepy) • keep note of your sleeping positions (wake up and see what position you are in), itll help you sleep faster the next night • when you are sick, remember what other people do for you while you are sick. its probably what they want other people to do when they are sick • if a service dog ever comes to you, its not lost, the owner is in danger (dont ignore it) • oranges before working out keeps you hydrated + prevents muscles from being sore • when at the airport and typing the wifi url, add “?.jpg” to it to pass the wifi bill and have it for free:0 • to relieve mosquito bites, lick the tip of a clean finger, dip it in salt and rub on the bite • when an elderly person asks you to speak again, speak deeper not louder. the first thing you lose when hearing is lost is recognition of high tones • wash your hands after touching the menu, its super germy • want to tell a lie? slip something embarrassing about you in it, it sounds real if it sounds dumb • writing your worries before an exam has been proven that it boosts your score • want to remember a word? clench your fists, it increases brain activity • a halo around the moon or the sun means a storm is coming nearby • look down and blink fast if something is in your eye • if you chew gum while studying and chew the same flavour in your exam, it helps you remember what you studied. same works for pens, use a colour pen and use the same one in an exam • to study faster, read the first and last paragraphs and skim the middle bits • if you can pick a topic for a paper, pick something that makes you angry, youd be able to right and rant about it for ages. you can also right about something you are passionate about • if you are feeling nervous, chew gum or eat food, your brain will think you are safe because if you were in danger, you wouldnt be eating • google books can be used to find a phrase in a book that is too hard to find - it tells you the page number • “can you show me how to do this” > “can you do this for me” (makes you more persevering) • use the car seat headrest (can be unattached) to break windows if you are in danger • blinking eyes faster tires them thus making you sleep • cotton balls in vinegar makes a bruise disappear • if you stand up too fast and feel dizzy, tighten your core/abs/stomach as hard as you can • if a drink suddenly tastes salty, dont drink it. trust me.
