Pyrite pawed the blue-star choker around her neck, waiting for District 7 to be called to the stage. The designers made her outfit simple yet extravagant, a long sleeved sea green vest, tall, yet snug, forest colored Boots with a diamond at the top, and new earnings and tail band that had sapphires gems instead of emeralds. Blue sparkles replaced the green from her parade, but there wasn't nearly as much as last time. "Pyrite Nemesis, District 7!" The interviewer called out, and Pyrite rose, took a deep breath, and walked out onto the stage to find... A ball pit? "Welcome, Ms. Nemesis!" The interviewer smiled. "As you see, the interviews have been changed as well this year. Your task will be to find the question balls hidden within this ball pit, and break them open to recieve your questions! Now, be careful. The bubble solution will surely mess up that beautiful outfit of yours!" Pyrite forced a smile at the interviewer. She /really/ hated these capitol cats. Despite this, she walked up to the edge of the ball pit, waved to the crowd, and dove in. It smelled like a blue-raspberry slushie, A detail she wasn't expecting. Usually things like this smell repulsive. Pyrite shrugged this off and pushed the oceanic colored normal spheres. In front of her, only moments later, lay a pulsing blue orb. She hesitantly poked it, and just as the interviewer said, it exploded bubble solution everywhere. She pulled back up to the surface, waving the orb slowly. The crowd cheered. Pyrite looked down to read the question. "Do you support President Imperium?" She read aloud. Pyrite laughed. "Unfortunately, Imperium and I... We have a rocky relationship. But, I must say, his snake is rather impressive." The crowd cheered as Pyrite fished around for another bubble. The blue pulsing caught the corner of her eye, and she cautiously popped the bubble. "How many banks have you robbed?" This question was written a little sloppy, so Pyrite guessed it was written by a young cat. She looked out towards the crowd. "Too many to count. But only the ones that deserved it." She said, making the crowd mumble in confusion after laughing from the first part. Time was running out, so Pyrite ignored this and continued to search. She stumbled across another blue pulse, splattering solution all over her. The crowd laughed. "Do you ever miss your family?" Pyrite looked down to see the common wing emblem that an orphanage in D7 used. She looked towards the camera. "Every day. Amari, Ryhoi, Mother, Father, all of them." Tears began forming at the edge of her eyes, she she duck below the surface of the pit and began to search again. This time, when she found the pulse, something clicked in Pyrite's mind. She surfaced, slowly moving the orb up with her. She raised it to the surface, much to the surprise of the capitol cats, and threw it in the air. It took a moment, but as the orb fell, Pyrite ripped out one of her earrings and burst the bubble, sending sparkling blue solution in an explosion effect into the lights. The question drifted down, and Pyrite caught it in her claws as the lights flickered off the bubbles. Pyrite blinked. This one was even signed. "Why did you volunteer for me?" -Numa Pyrite took a deep breath. "To save a star from crumbling from the sky of darkness." She said. "And, to prove the sun can rise again and pulse for the better." With this bit of poetry, the capitol cats cheered. Pyrite climbed out of the ball pit and was given a fluffy white towel to wipe off the solution. All the while, she was still clutching the last question. When she was back in the haven of dark behind the stage, she let a tear fall onto the slip of paper. "To save someone from becoming me."
