Humans are poaching Sandshrew to extinction, Mewtwo saves one Sandshrew who, if they come back to Mewtwo, could save all others. The story isn't completely made up. In real life Pangolins are being poached to make illegally leather and Pangolin soup. Soon there will be no Pangolins left if poachers don't stop.
