scratch cat has had his lower section removed, in the vector editor surprisingly basically just use reshape: for every shape that crosses the line from which you want to erase, add two new points on the existing shape. one on the line (you can draw it out like me) and one just above that one set the point on the line to "pointed" mode do that for all the shapes that cross the line then use the reshape tool to select all the vertices/points below your line and delete them. you should be left with something like our sliced scratchcat here
