------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contents: ★ Basic Controls & Music ☆ Panic Button ⚝ Search ✯ Favorite Button ✮ Quiz Mode ⍟ Notes & Sources ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ★ Basic Controls & Music --------------------------------------- Clicking any of the labeled buttons on the start screen takes you to the flags under their category. A "Back" button will appear on the right, which will return you to the start screen. Press space or right-arrow key, or click/tap the pride flag, to move to the next slide. Press left-arrow key to go back a slide (currently no mobile solution). Click the sound button to play music. There are 8 total options before it returns to silent. Additionally, up-arrow key turns up the music volume, and down-arrow decreases the volume. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ☆ Panic Button --------------------------------------- If someone else walks into the room and you don't want them to see what you're looking at, you can click the red "Panic" button, located under the Search button. Everything will disappear, covered by a "Game Over" screen. If this is something you may need to use, it is recommend to view this project in full-screen mode. The Credits button is functional; the Exit button takes you back into the normal project. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ⚝ Search ------------------------------------ When you click the blue "Search" button located in the top left corner, it will ask you which pride flag you want to see. -- Spelling counts! Capitalize the first letter. -- Hyphenated items should be formatted: Pan-Lesbian -- Use full terms (ex. Transfeminine, not Transfem) -- For searching a form of attraction, type the full title. (ex. Platonic Attraction, not just Platonic) -- If Search doesn't work, try reading through the Glossary button. If it's still not there, let me know! <3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ✯ Favorite Button ------------------------------------ The heart in the top-right corner is the Favorite button. It keeps a list of your favorite identities, which are saved across any of the category buttons. When a slide is favorited, the heart will turn red, and its name will appear in the list so you can search it again. To remove an identity from the list, search it, then click the red heart again. The list should not reset when the project is restarted, even if the page is reloaded. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ✮ Quiz Mode ------------------------------------ When you click the Quiz Mode button, it will ask you if you want the instructions before you begin. If you answer Yes, it'll give you instructions; if not, it'll let you choose a category. Please wait to choose a category until after the speech bubble goes away. While in Quiz Mode, all other functions are still operational. For example, you can still use left/right arrow keys for the next slide, and the Search button still works. If you use the Search function to enter a new category, then it'll continue to quiz you in that category. (Ex. You're in Sexual Orientations, and then you search heteroromantic; now you're being quizzed on Romantic Orientations category!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ⍟ Notes & Favorite Sources ------------------------------------ Please tell me in the comments if I made any mistakes or if there is a pride flag you'd like me to add! ------------------------------------ Feel free to ask about a pride flag that you've seen but don't know its meaning, or if there is an identity that you'd like me to find (or make!) a pride flag or term for, tell me in the comments and I'll do my best to answer your questions! ------------------------------------ THANK YOU to everyone who has interacted with this project!! This has been a years-long journey for me, starting way back in 2022, when I first published this on June 24 for pride month. It began with just a few pride flags and specifically the meanings of their colors, but has since evolved into a genuine identity resource for so many people, as I've seen in the comments. So, thank you all as a community for inspiring me! ------------------------------------ Most of the songs are from bensound!
