When I say "black cat" you're probably going to think of witches, bad luck or just something negative in general. But they're not scary at all. Generally, black cats usually get quite a bad rep, and I want this to stop. In 2014 the RSPCA warned that 7 out of 10 cats at their shelters are black or black and white. So this means that many people have decided not to adopt them, and there are a few reasons why this happens. 1. People don't think they look good in photos. Seriously? Look at that black cat on the thumbnail. He/she is absolutely stylish. B) I actually own a black cat called Hugo and he looks amazing in every picture I take. 2. Black cats bring bad luck. No. The colour of a cat's fur doesn't determine "how much luck they bring" at all. In fact RSPCA scientific officer Dr Jane Tyson said: "We would urge people to look beyond what an animal looks like. Their fur colour makes no difference to how much love they have to give. Black cats won't bring you good luck or bad luck but they do need forever homes. If you can bring some magic into their lives they are sure to bring some love into yours." Also, black cats are just as cute and friendly as other cats, no matter their fur colour. I absolutely love my black cat. Plus, you get to be loved by a mini panther. Who wouldn't want to be loved by a cute mini panther? So please, if you ever walk into an animal shelter to adopt a cat, just take a look at some black cats. Just one would be really happy to come home with you. It doesn 't matter if they're "unlucky" (which they aren't), all that matters is that you love them. So if you could, please adopt a black cat. #blackcats #2023 #adoptblackcats
