In 2007, after the Zen Y-Serie was discontinued, the body tooling was purchased by a Chinese cycle company. They modified the body to be a short-nosed 3 wheeled hatchback and started exporting it to North America. It was marketed as an extremely fuel efficient 3-wheeled cycle-car, the driver only needing a motorcycle license to operate one. The name UE600-H may seem like gibberish at first, but it is short for Ultra Efficient 600cc Hatchback. Despite appearances, the Marten has very little mechanically in common with the Zen, sporting a 600cc motorcycle engine mounted under the drivers seat, aswell as a single transmission option, that being a 4-speed manual transmission with (useless) overdrive. The base model was practically featureless, but if you upgraded to the SE you got heat and air conditioning, a roof rack, painted trim, cloth seats, a radio, and faux wood dash trim. The Marten was known for being hilariously poorly built and unstable, and most were scrapped after less than 5 years on the road, due to either serious reliability and build quality issues, rollovers, or a combination of the two.
thanks to dom06 for the original car even though he said some very mean things to me for making this!! Mostly inspired by the Wildfire WF650-C and the Snyder ST600-C
