FLASH AND SLIGHT CREEPY WARNING (Read the whole desc if you're Distorted!) Yet another NTCE for Number 5! I’m obsessed with drawing them now, lol I’ve been thinking a lot about what the enigma’s past might be. Why did they become a rogue, and why are they now tameable? They must have been with Hvitaer, Lapis and the rest of the rogues at some point, so why did they leave and go to Distorted? Did they decide they didn’t want to be part of the rebellion any more? Were they betrayed? Or maybe it was an accident; maybe Distorted accidentally summoned them. At any rate, they left. And then they found Distorted, or Distorted found them. Or maybe they never decided to leave the rebellion, and Distorted just found them by accident. But I like to think they were somehow betrayed by the rebellion, and this project is about that. In the song, the “kids in the dark” are the other rogue enigmas. The parts about being at the "end of the road" and "wondering how we got this far" are about how far the rebellion went, but the bits about the road "caving in" refer to the rebellion being bad. "They left us alone, the kids in the dark, to burn out forever" is the betrayal, and "we come together... we'll never surrender" is about Enigma 5 deciding to do the right thing. I’m pretty proud of this! And the backstory theory. I hope you enjoyed my long rant about Enigma 5. Enjoy, mew!
