Ling loved the prince dearly but he never seemed too interested in her, no matter how much Ling tried to impress him she always seemed be ignored. Ling was almost ready to give up until one day, the prince suddenly came to her and told her that he had realized he was wrong about ignoring her and that he is willing to try out with her. Ling was elated to hear this, and so she decided to celebrate by visiting a friend that she hasn’t seen for a while. While she was there she learned from listening to some rumors that there has been a execution of a sorceress not too long ago. Ling was curious about it as she knew that the Amazon Kingdom had always welcomed magic. She questioned some of the locals in the Amazon Kingdom and found out that it was because a runaway Princess tried to enchant the prince with the sorceress’s help. It ended up with the prince almost dying and the sorceress getting executed. Ling was angry at the other princess at first, but then she took pity on her as she had also longed for the prince’s love. Ling soon found out however, that the prince had actually gone out with her several times and that he was only using the other princess (whom she learned was named Cordelia) to wait until he finds interest in her. Ling was enraged and, when she found out that Cordelia was held in a prison, Ling decided to rescue her. Ling broke into the prison and was able to bring Cordelia back to her palace, where, after Cordelia recovered, she had requested a proper burial for the sorceress at the Kingdom Tree. Not long after the burial Ling canceled the marriage with the prince. Ling and Cordelia had realized that they had fallen in love with each other, they promised each other that they would not treat each other the way the prince did, and, although they were not able to get married, they lived a (sort of) happy life ever after.
