Lysathae Avis Saean [lie-suh-thigh ah-VEES sai-yen] * side note: Saean and his siblings don't age due to Mynethius' own un-aging, so Saean looks effectively somewhere around 16-20 years old Born on Nov. 12, 687 to Lysathae Mynethius and Ariasume Serannol, he became Mynethius firstborn and heir. Mynethius was regarded as one of the strongest ancient powers, a "god of fire" and was the founder king (of Merinius)'s right hand man, and had continued to serve the country, even after the first king's passing. Saean came out a strange child: he had Mynethius's eyes, but his hair was gleaming white, making him look to be an albino, but it was strange since neither of his parents had it, but they didn't make much of it at the time. when he was around 3, Mynethius, knowing the child would have inherited his power, begun to teach Saean magic, and unnaturally quickly he was able to create fire in the palms of his hands. The fire wasn't ordinary: unlike Mynethius' scarlet red flame, Saean's was bright white, like his hair, and it was unnaturally hot- Mynethius could feel its heat, despite him having high resistance to fire and it belonging to a 3 year old. Saean proved to be unnaturally talented, talent surpassing Mynethius', and was an odd-one-out from his younger brothers, Seinol and Selin, who were strong, but not like him. Most couldn't make his power out to be a gift from god or a sign of a devil, marking him as controversial, and with his power, he couldn't lead any semblance of a normal life, which would become the thing he would long for the most. He stood on a glass stage far above everyone else, to be praised or mocked. His personality didn't quite help either, especially in his youth, he was an impulsive and immature child. He always had a good heart, but he had a general lack of control over great destructive power. Mynethius always tried to protect him from the words of the people, but he knew nonetheless, and it always made him sad, as he only ever loved them. when he was 32, though this had been a longstanding goal of his, his father decided to leave home, to do whatever, especially since the only thing keeping him there, his wife, had died in childbirth to Selin, and there were other motivations that pushed him to leave, and so before he did, he passed down his seat of family head. Initially, he was going to give it to Saean, due to his power and him being the eldest son, but Seinol, out of jealousy, and his general belief that Saean would lead them to ruin (they were not ever on good terms) convinced Mynethius that his personality would make him a poor choice. Seinol, who was responsible and acted older than his age naturally did seem like a better choice, and Mynethius obliged, knowing Saean didn't really want to be head anyway. When he broke the news to Saean, he couldn't accept it. It was true he didn't really want to be head, but he had made himself believe it was his only purpose in life, and that his responsibility was to the people, to lead them with the immense power he'd been given. It made him angry, because what his father said, was like saying everything he had prepared himself for was for naught. He may have seemed immature and carefree to everyone else, but he had always understood the weight of the role. In the moments of realization, he lost control of himself. He screamed, and became a demon full of rage in that moment. The emotional instability and anger towards his father caused him to lose control over his own power, and went on a rampage, destroying the entire estate, and killing many who happened to be there. Mynethius sealed his soul in the ruins of the house in a last-ditch attempt, and built what was effectively a tomb around it, sealing his body elsewhere in an eternal slumber, though he knew it was likely he'd break the hold of the seal somehow someday. it took 1,000 years, but he did break the seal. In that time, Seinol had become family head and erased any memory of him, Mynethius disspeared, and the ruins of the old house and his "tomb" there were sacred ground, used as a coming-of-age ceremony area, where direct sons and daughters would spend a night there. Initially, Saean was angry- he blamed, but over time, he came to regret, and came to terms with what had happened, and went to sleep while passively working open the seal.
*important note: this is no longer up to date (cont) Even though he broke the seal, as a soul, he couldn't leave. His soul was no longer bound, but without a vessel, he'd surely die, as the building itself was acting as his vessel, his body. So he bided his time until the next one entered: it was Lysathae Nea Lilaita, who had the unfortunate experience of getting posessed. He quickly broke out, and Seinol could sense it, and confronted his brother. Seeing Seinol again made him angry and annoyed- but really, he couldn't see any more standing there than his little brother. But naturally, he fought him anyway. However, he realized, since he was in the wrong body, it was a poor idea, as he was weak and he would break apart in Lilaita's body. He, against his pride, escaped from there, to retreive his own body and face him properly. And do that he did, reclaiming his body from its deep sleep, provided energy and nutrient throught magic, stored in perfect condition, though his hair had grown long. With that flamboyant and slightly vain and prideful personality, he headed into town to eat since he was hungry, but really to get a haircut [he kept it long this time, his hair had been short before] and buy clothing [he prefers colorful silks]. That he did, though he was confronted by Seinol on the way out, who he decided once again, not to fight, mostly because Lilaita had decided to stay with him and he knew he couldn't protect her, and there was things that he needed to think about, because he realized some things after he was released. He had rented a house in the middle of nowhere, mostly to train, since he felt out of shape, and stayed there with Lilaita for about a month before confronting Seinol in the flashiest way possible: walking up through the front door and power smashing through all defense. It was a ploy to lure Seinol out to fight him 1 on 1, and he did. They fought far away from the house, and despite Seinol's best efforts, Saean has simply always been much stronger, and while he was "training" in that month, he managed to acess and control the power that had given his father trouble- the power he awakened during his "rampage" 1,000 years ago, though it was much stronger now as he had been able to control and refine it, and so naturally, that ability got a lot stronger. The "rampage" itself was more like finding his full power than any actual special ability, though using it in that way was taxing, since it was a bit beyond his limit, and using it too long would cause him to faint. When he used it, what was once a irregular shape turned into a halo-like circlet, floating above his head, crowning him a king of magic. After that, he took the title of family head from Seinol, but did not kill him, and instead extended his hand to him, despite everything that he had done. But, because he was his family, because he wanted a family, because he could understand him, he forgave him, knowing while Seinol had wronged him, he was no bad person, and had never thought Saean would end up how he did. He asked Seinol to rule alongside him- while they were different, they both, ultimately, wished for the people to be happy. They came to terms with each other. After that, he became the head of the family, and has been for a hundred something years to the present time. He spends lots of time with the people and never quite got over his often emotional and impulsive self and still tends to run off when he feels, preferring to work during the nighttime, though he doesn't ever neglect things he has to do, specifically the ones involving the people, caring little about the ones just involving high society. During this time, he met Amarante, who became his best friend through a series of events, and he discovered she was much like him in terms of magic (through a fight), though they are quite different in terms of personality. more recently, whenever he sees Amarante, it feels strange, like a million butterflies are flying around his stomach, a strange nervous excitement. looking away whenever she makes eye contact. looking forward to seeing her more and more, considering her in his mind even while she's away. He's not quite sure what that is. can you believe me when I tell you this is the ABRIDGED version (you cant fit like 50 pages in a scratch project tho haha) i'm wayy to far in over my head in OC lore but i wanna make a webcomic...so.... [saean and ama are both characters from it, but somehow not the main ones which I havent written nearly as much (saean is my favorite lol) but you cant have people who are very overpowered as your main characters] if you've got questions ask!! seriously, I always have answers, and I'm not super good at explaining things
