- - - 200+ art process!! 200 already?! Time sure does fly by ^^ to celebrate, I made an art process! I'm actually quite proud of this piece tbh, took me a long time :( but it was worth it!! by the way, this is just to show how I PERSONALLY draw. You don't have to copy it ^^; click arrow , space , or use arrow keys / process / 1 . Sketching this step is super important! It gives you a rough visualization of your art piece. I do it often in high saturation colors, like red or neon blue. Easy to see and break down. 2 . Messy lineart This is basically another sketch, but in lineart form! It doesn't have to be perfect, you'll be editing it later. Do this 2-3 times to get your art to your satisfaction. 3 . Fixed + official lineart This is the lineart you will be sticking with throughout the piece. It varies from your sketch and messy lineart, but that's ok! We learn from out mistakes. Also, see the anatomy change? (The feet!) 4 . Flat Coloring This step is optional, but it helps a lot with coloring. Fill in all the lineart you want to be colored. Not the background though ^^ 5 . Coloring This is where the flat colors come in! Make another layer above the flat coloring one and clip it. Most art programs such as procreate or ibis paint X have the "clipping" option, but if it doesn't, you might want to have skipped the flat coloring. Go ahead and do your colors 6 . Eye base Here's the base of my eye because I forgot it ^^; 7 . Eye details Details of the eye ( no colors yet ) 8 . Flat Coloring on eye Eye flat coloring so I can basically repeat the coloring steps ^^ 9 . Coloring on eye I colored the eye! 10 . Colored lineart I changed the color of the lineart to a softer color. 11 - 12 . Details I added her mouth + nose and leaf crown ^^ 13 . Background! I added the background! I'm very proud of it ngl haha 14 . Shading I clipped a layer on the coloring. I used BLACK first to color over wherever I wanted the shading to go, lowered the opacity (very important) and changed the color of it TO the actual lineart color. Because of the lowered opacity, it looks good. I recommend using black or purple when shading. 15 . Lighting I pretty much just added some white spots >< 16 . Blending lighting 17 . I removed the lighting and added eye detailss!! 18 . More background stuff 19 . Filter + effects 20 . Watermarked and done !! - - -
