/warning\ If you haven’t read the previous chapters, you won’t understand the story. The days have gotten colder, fall is here, painting the trees outside the window with her beautiful colors, It’s the final countdown, 5 minutes until school ends, 5 minutes until we find out if Aiden will be quarterback, 5 minutes, feeling like 5 hours. I sat in silence at my seat, the tension is almost unbearable, this is the day we find out, I’ve been watching Aiden during the practices, he has definitely improved, but Nicholas has improved as well. The bell rang before I finished my thought, and I ran straight to Coach Miner’s office. I was first to arrive, and knocked on the door, “Come in.” Coach Miner said I opened the door, “Good afternoon Felix, have a seat.” He ordered, and I sat in the chair next to the door. Not long after, Nicholas and Aiden came in as well, this is it, what we’ve been waiting 2 weeks for. “Okay Nicholas, let’s check you’re grades.” Coach Miner said, taking a piece of paper out. Nicholas was a nervous wreck, I’ve never seen him this way before. “Let’s see-" Coach started "-you have mostly c’s with a few b’s, not the best grades, but still, you are passing.” Nicholas let out a super long sigh of relief, “So, Aiden.” Coach said. Aiden looked really disappointed, “Yes Coach?” He answered. The coach gave a reassuring smile, “I came up with a plan if this was to happen, you have improved in your strength during practice, so I can put you on the defense team. It’s not quarterback, but at least you’re on the team.” Aiden cheered up a little while saying, “Coach, is it okay if I don’t play this game? I haven’t practiced being on defense before.” Coach smiled, saying “I was going to do that anyway, Tuesday starts your practice.” We all thanked the coach, and left. Nicholas bumped Aiden, saying “Nice try Aiden, but I’ll always be quarterback.” Then he left for the front doors. Aiden and I walked together “Are you coming to the game tomorrow?” Aiden looked at me with a confused look, saying “Of course! I’m not missing your first game! I bet you’ll do great!” He smiled, and then we left for the bus. When I came home, I told my parents the news, we were all a little disappointed, but at least Aiden still gets to play. My dad and I practiced in the back yard, I caught most of the passes, “You’ve gotten good Felix, the other team should be shaking in there boots!” He exclaimed. We talked while we practiced, “Who are you guys playing against?” He asked as I dived for the ball. “The knights, from Jefferson.” “Jefferson? I heard they are a pretty good team, but not as good as yours.” Then he gave his classic dad smile, which looks ridiculous, but is the type that makes other people smile. We got called in for dinner by mom, “To prepare you for your game, I made one of your favorites.” The heavenly aroma of salmon filled the room. “Thanks mom!” I exclaimed, content by the meal. We all sat down for dinner, afterward, I did a little bit of light reading, and decided to go to bed a little early. I’m walking down a dark alley, I don’t know how I got here, it’s really cold, and I don’t usually get cold, then I realized, it’s another dream. It’s been a week since the last one, I thought they were over, suddenly I hear a sound behind me, and quickly turned towards it. Then something big struck me in the back of my head, and I woke up. It was morning, outside my window, the trees with there colors were swaying in the wind, it’s game day, and nothing will stop me.

The dream adds a small bit to the plot. It’s a bit short, but I wanted the game to be it’s own chapter. Which might be posted later today.
