/warning\ Read the previous chapters. Emily jiggled the doorknob, I told her “Of course the door has to be-“ suddenly the door opened. She looked at me with a smile. “-locked. Come on! Who leaves their door unlocked at this time of night?” Emily chuckled and responded, “Must be a trustworthy neighborhood.” We went in and entered a very messy living room. Emily whispered, “Look for some sort of trapdoor, or safe.” We searched around the clutter and junk, looking for a trapdoor, and I noticed something strange about the bookshelf. I called over to Emily, “Hey Emily, check this out.” She walked over to me. “Look at this.” I pointed to the bookshelf, and she focused on it. “What am I looking at?” She asked with a confused look. “Notice this entire shelf is well organized, but this one book is out of place.” She looked again, and pulled the book out, then we heard a click. The shelf pushed out, and slid over, which revealed a safe. I said to her, “Do we have safe opening equipment?” She looked at me with a smile, “We don’t need them.” She put her large ear against the safe, and turned the dial. Not too long after, the safe clicked open. Revealing the Deoxium, a glowing red liquid, which looked like a lava lamp. As Emily was picking it up, we heard a truck pull into the driveway. “He’s back early.” Emily whispered to me. We rushed to the back door, and I jiggled the doorknob. “Why is this one locked, and not the front?” We ran out the front door, I knocked into the man, and I swear I heard him say under his breath “Felix, is this how you repay the man who saved you?” Emily grabbed my arm, and helped me up, then we ran to the SUV. The words repeated in my head as we drove away. Saved me? Is that why I recognized him? What did he save me from? Emily asked, “Are you okay? You look sad.” I faced her and responded “I’ll be fine, just a little shocked.” and we started our trip home. When we got back the next day, we showed up at Dr. Stern’s office, “You got it!” He said with a smile, Emily handed the Deoxium to him. “How well did he do?” He asked Emily. “If it wasn’t for him, we may have not been out of there in time.” She said. I felt my face turn hot. Dr. Stern excused us, and we left the room. Emily and I sat next to each other during dinner. She looked at me and said, “Felix, I know when something is on your mind, might as well just tell me.” I looked at her, she was smiling, and I told her “There’s nothing on my mind.” But her smile grew bigger, “You know one of your ears are down?” I felt them, and it was true, “Fine, I’ll tell you, but not here.” She chuckled, and said “Being a little secretive, huh?” I looked at her and said, “It’s nothing like that.” She pretended to have a sudden interest on her food. “Okay, if you say so.” After dinner, we went to the library, and sat down in two chairs. She looked at me and said, “Okay, spill the beans mister.” I sighed and told her what the man said. She looked more shocked than I was, “He really said that?” I nodded. “What does he mean, you were never in danger.” Or was I? He was the one who took me out of here, there must be something I don’t know about this place, and I intend to find out what it is.

No regrets! I was going to have Felix blush, but foxes don’t blush, so I made him feel like he’s blushing. I love it when people make TNs, so feel free to! This is getting more interesting. Get ready for some detective work. I wonder if this one is rushed.
