[the information in this project may not be 100% up-to-date] Palace of Points (PoP): https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/26491568 Interview studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/30663013 Manager interviews are currently OPEN! They will close Saturday, April 9th~ ☆ ABOUT ☆ This is the project where further information about PoP manager interviews can be found, such as the requirements and when results will come out. ☆ SEASON INFO ☆ Manager interviews will be open from the first Monday of each month to the next Saturday (results will come out on Sunday). This will repeat each month until we reach the manager limit or another issue comes up! ☆ BONUS TIPS & FAQ ☆ Want to maximize your chance of getting in? Try to follow these tips: Take your time with writing your answers — All interviews will be treated the same regardless of whether they’re submitted on the first day, the last day, or anytime in between. Take this time to think over what’d you like to write and make sure your answers are the best they could be! Make sure to proofread your answers before submitting them— It’s recommended to write them out somewhere off of the Scratch website, such as Google Docs, before posting them as comments. If possible, try asking someone you trust to read over them and put them through an additional check (such as Grammarly). While we don’t expect you to have perfect grammar, if your answers are littered with spelling & grammar errors that could be easily fixed, it shows how much you truly care about being a manager. Leave out obvious information — If you’re interviewing to be a manager, it’s expected that you’ll be able to transact, accept new members, dedicate time to PoP, etc. Instead of mentioning those things, write about what unique skills you have that others may not have; for example, maybe you’ve dealt with lots of art theft in the past, so you’re able to recognize stolen art better than average. Consider why you are interviewing — Someone who makes a good manager is genuinely passionate about PoP and wants to see it grow. If that sounds like you, then you should consider interviewing! If you’re more interested in some of the other perks compared to this, however, such as the fame or getting access to manager-only information, then perhaps you should reconsider. Q: What are the responsibilities of a manager? A: • Transact and accept join forms in a timely manager • Check PoP shops for any rule-breaking • Give feedback on manager interviews • Help out anywhere else it’s needed :> Q: Can I reuse parts of my denied application? A: You may reuse parts that don’t change, such as when you joined, etc. However, do not reuse the rest of your application — it was denied for a reason, and it will be denied again. Q: What’s the process for becoming a deputy/leader? A: Deputies are selected by current leaders & deputies when they need extra help or see someone who is truly committed to PoP and are then promoted to leaders by current leaders or when all the current leaders resign. It takes lots of dedication and patience to get promoted! Q: What are the responsibilities of a deputy/leader? A: They’re in charge of overseeing the management team as well as running interviews. In addition, they more often than not run other PoP things (such as the Palace Prints and updating the banking project). Q: May I have feedback on why I got denied? A: Most likely yes! Message whoever denied your application and they’ll help you out — feel free to ask again if you don’t get a reply, as they may be busy and forgot c: ☆ Thank you for visiting. Best of luck, and PoP on! ☆
