lol This is fanmade and not real. not even the 3DS release of the game is real. Also here is how the game checks for piracy (based on how SMAS (SNES) checks it.): Before the SEGA logo, Sonic 3 A.I.R checks for SRAM presented in the copy: the game writes to a value of $790000 and compares it with $706600. If both values match, the game is told by the code that there is 9 kb of RAM, and starts the game as so. If not, the code checks for the format the cart is loaded (Which now is loaded as a rom) and when it's done, tells that the game has more than 9 kb of RAM, meaning the copy is illegal or the game is loaded as a rom. Depending on how the values are modified, the anti piracy screen will trigger on random places.
