Please don't judge me. This song put me to tears, because I could not stop thinking about Maki and Kaito, since I had seen a video with this song. // // Let's begin, by saying the obvious. The song is about this man, Sufjan Stevens, who lost the love of his life, and is singing about how everyone goes through it at some point, and his struggles and trying to cope. Now, Maki, having lost the love of her life, Kaito, she had never imagined how heartbroken she'd be, and this song's lyrics fit in right before he died, as him singing to her.
