Move your mouse left and right in front of Avery to make her walk, run, and stand. Up arrow to jump, down arrow to slide. Not sure how I feel about both of those... Click the green dot to change the movement mode. Now you drag the dot to move her feet. This mode is not as polished, but let me know which one feels better. Click it again to turn it back.
Wanted to show my progress on the physics and running mechanics for "Inverse Kinematics Avery" (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/636333564/). The running mechanics turned out to be a lot different than what I planned... At first I wanted the user to have full control over her feet (like when you click the green dot), but I was disappointed in the results so I looked for other ways. I tried to make it so you can place her footsteps but the running was never smooth. Then I tried to control her speed by mouse distance, but the movement never stayed smooth when you changed her speed, so I settled on the 2 preset speeds in the project. I'm keeping around the unused scripts just in case I find something useful for them. Give me your feedback on both movement options! My next plans are to add jumping and rolling, different lines, horizontal collision, swinging/climbing mode with her hands, and finally make a game out of it.
