So, these two here are my characters Imagin and Byran. Aren't they just the cutest? They're both from this fantasy story I'm writing. This is a story that I've been writing a changing so much since i was in 7th grade (and I'm going into 11th sooo). When I decided to start work on it again I chose to switch it over to fantasy (because I tend to be better at that) and though i'm only working on it slowly it's happening. And I draw these characters a lot because I just love them so much. They aren't exactly human, but their skin isn't porcelain white in the books. I just hate having to draw with skin tones cuz I can't get them to look and write. The coloured freckles though. That is a canon thing. Although not everyone has freckles. I'm actually making a little thing with characters from my book too and it will take a while to finish it, but I will. After I finish the book maybe (whenever that is lol) I could do like a thing where i post a chapter every week or something. Where it's like typed out in the description, or in the project and maybe i can record myself reading it and then have like a piece of art to go along with each chapter. That could be fun. Or I could just post chapters as I finish them, although that would probably mean longer between releases. Idk. What do you guys think? Anyways, I chose to use the song Wonderland here because ngl I've literally been obsessed with it this past week and it's way underrated. I also thought that it kinda fit these two. Not completley, but mostly. I'm gonna try not to like spoil any of the story, although this art paired with this song tells you some stuff and you'll probably be confused right off the bat of the story because Imagin happens to have a boyfriend. Named Jasper. Who I love dearly and is pretty much my son. But like. You just have to wait and the song will probably make sense eventually. ANYWAYS. "Rialla was a quaint little kingdom. The people there lived quiet lives and had little to worry about. Aside from the prophecy that had doomed their kingdom centuries ago. It held tales of those who could only see in black and white. How their souls were as colourless as the world they experienced. The royal family, upon hearing of the prophecy, was conflicted. Every person in Rialla was born with a special gift and the prophet who had given the prophecy had never been wrong, and came from a family of seers that had served the kingdom for as long as anyone could remember. Choosing to trust the seer, the royals began testing children at the age of ten. If they could perceive the colours then they would go on living normal lives, and if not they would banished into the woods that surrounded the kingdom. As time wore on and months dragged into years and years into centuries people began to think of the prophecy as nothing but an old wive's tale and most didn't even believe that it had been told by a true seer. The royal family, however, still handled the situation and normally somewhere between one and three kids were cast out each year. One year though a girl came along named Imagin. Her parents had tested her when she was younger, wanting to find a way to protect her. When they learned that she could not see in colour they tracked down a man who was said to be able to grant ordinary objects strange abilities. They tried enchanting a necklace and then an earring, but that wasn't working. The old man believed it to be because it directly interfered with the nature of her body. In the end they settled on a pair of rose coloured glasses, which allowed anyone who looked through them to see in colour. Although it may not have been a permanent solution, it only interfered indirectly, and was the best they could do. As Imagin gets older and tensions are rising and rumours are spreading will she be able to return the kingdom to its once unified state or was it never really unified in the first place?"
