Congrats again @Berricake^^ So, this project was meant to be an improvement of my first entry, but I still can’t figure out how to make it work better. Anywho—background went brrrt so ye, there’s that :P I tried to make this into an art process kinda thing cause I haven’t done one of those yet, but I probably should’ve taken more screenshots along the way…(but then you’d have to read more, so idk) btw, these entries are just for fun because, in a contest like this that has over 400 entries, mine likely won’t stand much of a chance—but oh well, ‘tis a hard knock life Coding//host//oc: @Berricake Artwork: @bloomii_25 1–basic shapes 2–slightly refined sketch 3–pretty refined sketch 4–completed line art (I lower the opacity to like 11% when I start blocking in the colors) 5–flat colors 6–shading (ik it’s a lot, but I go all over the place back and forth from one part to the next when shading, so this was just easier to show the end result) 7–background (once again, too many minor refinements on multiple layers simplified to just one screenshot) 8–created a new layer above the character and made a clipping mask, then filled it with a dark blue, and changed the blending mode to multiply (although I use different blending modes and colors depending on the lighting/vibe I’m going for) 9–I erased where I wanted the highlights to be with an airbrush and marker (for varying sharp and hard lighting) along with adding some fog in the foreground on a new layer 10–saved the image 11–edited it and applied filters 12–close up and layers Gonna assume this took like 4-6 hours cause I didn’t work on this in just one take so I dunno Just realized I forgot the ring and pink barrettes O__O but ig you wouldn’t be able to see them anyways, soooo #art #dtiyse #iartbook
