My THIRD entry for ksycvlt's DTA!!! Hope yall think it's good :D Eclipse Corpse: She is the perfect combo of scary, cute, and fashionable. I really enjoyed drawing this one!!! Changes: none Notes: Her torso proportions are a little wacky in my drawing, but otherwise I think this one turned out great And now for that important part: Backstoryyyyyy!!!: There was a princess named Melanie. She was 6 years old and loved listening to fairy tales and old myths. Her favorite was the legend of the eclipse corpses. Her mother had memorized it and told it to her so much, that Melanie could play back every part in her head. It was about a moon goddess, who turned everyone who died under a lunar eclipse, into an eclipse corpse. eclipse corpses had pale purple skin, indigo hair, plum-colored clothing, and a floating headdress with different types of moons. Melanie loved them so much, that she dressed up as one for Halloween when she was 7. Years passed, and now she was 17. Her parents hosted an event, that they called the Golden Gala. It was a ball, that they hosted on every lunar eclipse. This time, Melanie was finally old enough to attend. She picked out a beautiful golden dress, that had accents of her favorite color; pink. the first picture was taken when she was interacting with one of her friends, at the ball. They talked for a few minutes, and suddenly the room smelled of smoke. After a few seconds, people started realizing that a fire had started! People started rushing for doors, and breaking windows, to escape the burning ballroom. But Melanie was too busy struggling to untangle the string lights that had suddenly fallen on her. She looked up, only to see her mother, balancing on a chandelier, holding the end of the string lights. Her mother said to her, "Now you get to be one of them". She dropped the end of the string lights, broke the glass ceiling above her, and climbed out leaving Melanie alone in a tangled heap. Suddenly she was 7 years old again. Her mother was putting the finishing touches on her eclipse corpse costume. When she finished, her mother leaned in and said, "Now you get to be one of them". The second picture was taken as Melanie realized that her mother had started the fire, with the intent of turning her into an eclipse corpse.
