Lore — — ~> Housing/Government The cats of Superior live in one large group which’s name is the Dahlia (after the founder). Unlike the typical clans of warrior cats roleplays this group is much looser. The pride many if not most of the cats feel for their independence prevents a single ruler, so instead there are many different families with one leader for each (typically the oldest or most experienced) called petals. The families still live in a camp together and their leaders come together for a council whenever trouble arises. Most families are quite close and not solely made up of blood relatives as adoptions are common. Any cats without families are denied a place and vote at the council. Trouble has not occurred for so long many of the customs surrounding this are a bit rusty. The dens of the Dahlia are woven out of dried grass. Religion Nearly all of the cats in this roleplay are atheists, believing themselves the highest beings in the universe. The rare exceptions to this are those who believe in vague notions of otherworldly power. Territory The cats of Superior live in a lush flowery meadow where the sun shines nearly all the days of the year. Numerous rippling streams wind their way through the stunning oasis and form into a large lake. A small forest of oak trees borders the water on one side, and a couple of Twoleg summer houses stand nearby. Some notable landmarks include a large rock slab on the lake’s shore where leaders like to take younger kin and a ginormous oak tree where cats practice climbing. The cod3word is ‘barbarian’ and must be put in your form. Mentoring There is no official system of mentors and apprentices in Dahlia, the younger cats simply naturally cling onto an elder member of their petal who will help guide them. Naming Cats of Dahlia are given a prefix that is nature/personality themed at birth (ex: Salamander). These names generally don’t include anything like harsh weather or predators because they hardly ever encounter these. They keep just the prefix until around the age of 14 moons when the become an adult in the eyes of the council and are allowed a vote at meetings. Only then is a suffix added to their names (ex: Salamanderchime). Looks The cats of the Dahlia generally have lightly colored pelts ranging from cream to tan to gold. Their fur is soft and luxurious.
