Mary jerked awake at the noises filling the nighttime air. She kept having this weird, uneasy feeling all night. She finally managed to fall asleep, but it was cut short when she heard footsteps outside her room. Who could’ve been awake in the middle of the night…? She got off her bed, opened her door, and peeked outside her room. Darkness. But wait… something was moving along the shadows. Mary creeped a bit closer to see what it was. It stopped abruptly. Her mind randomly wandered back to the horrifying scene of spotting Grace’s dead body and the sound of a vent closing. She shuddered. I should probably go back to sleep… she thought to herself. As she started to walk back into her room, she noticed the figure turn. Something about the figure seemed… menacing. She started quivering with fear, and backed up against a wall. The figure stepped out of the shadows, revealing itself to be a blue crewmember. Mary let out a sigh of relief. “Oh, it’s you. What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?” “Nothing. I just couldn’t sleep, that’s all.” the blue crewmember answered. “Well you scared me pretty badly right now.” Mary said, relaxing a bit. “Did I? Well, lucky you! You won’t ever be scared again.” The blue crewmember said with ominous enthusiasm. “W-what do you mean-'' But before Mary could finish, something flashed swiftly across her peripheral vision. Pain overwhelmed her and she collapsed. The world blurred into darkness. The last thing she saw was the blue crewmember towering over her, smirking. Then her mind blacked out in a blur. ~To be continued~
