The backstory is... Twilight, ever since she was 8 months old depended on Nightmare for food and protection in exchange for valuables that Twilight could easily find. And, for a perky friend to have. Nightmare is immortal, however, Twilight was not. So Nightmare was aware that she would live longer than Twilight, and she would deal with the pain involved. But, she agreed to that deal. So ever since that day, they have gotten closer and closer. But for about a week Nightmare went off to find more prey. And when she came back, Nightmare was totally different. She went against Twilight. All Twilight knew how to do was run and hide. Nightmare tried to teach Twilight how to hunt and fight, but Twilight didn't understand. So that day they both decided it would be best if Twilight stuck to treasure hunt. So as Nightmare would try and hurt Twilight, Twilight ran and ran. Twilight finally found a place that Nightmare couldn't find her, and searched the tiny area for gold, silver, and copper. Once she found enough, she sculpted it until it was in the shape of a shield. She revealed her cover, and ran. And when ever Nightmare would strike, twilight would block herself with her shield.....
