Feather and Pierce were unsure they would even survive. The phantoms have evolved, they're more aggressive, and definitely not what Feather was used to. But Pierce seemed to expect no less. She had no choice but to fight alongside him, they had a better chance of survival fighting together. Pierce prepared to toss the dust into the air, but Feather gave him a warning glance. It couldn't make Feather melt back into blob like it did on full phantoms, but it would injure her. And she wouldn't be in the state to fight. Pierce nodded and they fought a fierce battle. They both covered eachother's sides just like how they planned, but this time.. only with 2 of them. Suddenly, they separated, and Feather had slipped and fell. A phantom came creeping from behind, it was going to attack Feather! Pierce came charging over, and he threw some of the zios dust aiming for the phantom. He was careful not to hit Feather, his aim was perfect. He had hit only the phantom and Feather didn't have a single purple scratch. They went back to covering eachother's sides and continued fighting. It was pointless, it was 2 of them against hundreds. There was no choice but for pierce to end it all by throwing the dust across the field. But it would risk Feather. And the gear protecting Pierce from the dust might not be able to handle that much power, and it would risk him too. Feather was anxious, desperate. Inside she was willing but there really isn't anything they could do about it. Tears streamed down from her eyes as she began sobbing, things were so difficult. It had barely been 2 days and the group was already falling apart. Suddenly, there was the sound of bushes rustling. Feather barely noticed, Pierce looked at Feather, but the rustling came back and he was on alert. He looked around, very prepared for whatever was coming, hoping it wasn't another phantom. But out from the bushes came Feather's pet, Micro. And along with Feather's other pets, Pine, Claws, Kwolf, Cloudy, Lemur. They were running towards where the battle was, ready to attack. Micro looked at Feather for a split second, but realized that she had to settle this later. They put up some tricks, them being small had an advantage on the phantoms. Because their size allowed them to SEEM like disappearing and reappearing at will. And while the phantoms were distracted, Pierce would aim the zios dust. There was one more phantom, but Pierce's dust protection armor had broken, and the pets don't have the ability to attack. Were they about to lose? Right before the phantom was about to knock down the pouch of dust onto Pierce, Feather felt a surge of determination. Alec was gone, Dusty was injured, and they couldn't have Pierce injured as well. He may be stubborn, he complains a lot, he's cold, careless, selfish.. but even if so, he was a friend. He wanted to help them for his benefit, although she knew it's a whole other story, Feather knew Pierce cared. At the very beginning of the fight, Pierce wouldn't throw the dust because he knew it would risk Feather getting injured. He cared, he really did. And she was sure of that. She felt energy run through her, as she glowed purple and green, there was a flash of blue light as her feather necklace shone in the moonlight, she gained speed like no other. She charged at the phantom in a split second, and she glowed purple and green again as she landed an attack on the phantom, at that moment, the phantom had turned back into blob. Feather looked down onto her paws, she looked at her pets, then she gazed at Pierce. And she finally spoke, "w-what.. what just happened?" "I'm not quite sure.. let's discuss this further inside," Pierce said, approaching the base and pressing the stone button. When the door had opened, they saw their friends staring expectantly at the door, waiting for them. Feather felt a prickle of happiness, still wondering what had happened when she finished of that phantom, she sighed and sat down on her bed at the corner of the hideout. Pierce looked at Feather thoughtfully and slowly approached her, "hey. We'll figure it out, and we'll win, together. That was pretty cool was it?, Captain." Feather looked at Pierce, she never expected him to ever say that, ever. Starprint's face lit up, and she smiled. "Captain Feather, sure has a nice ring to it." Dusty managed a smile and nodded, he gazes feather thoughtfully and bowed down formally. Starprint looped in the air, and Pierce glances hopefully at Feather. Feather was so surprised, she had never felt so much love in her entire life, and she had never been so overwhelmed, ever. She manages a smile and nods, and gets up to her feet bravely leaping of her bed and standing confidently. "You're right.. we'll make it together. I will lead, and we can win this..," she looks at Pierce, then she looks at Starprint and Dusty. "..Together. I promise.. i wont let you down!"
