So in case it wasn’t super obvious with my month of inactivity, I’m not as interested in Scratch as I used to be. Unfortunately this means any DTA/OTA/MAP/collab etc. I said I would do isn’t going to happen. Maybe someday I’ll come back to Scratch and catch up on everything…but for now this is goodbye. I’ve spent over a year here, and I’m so grateful I had this experience. I always thought Scratch was just a “kids coding website” and I never really had any interest in joining it. Then my brother made an account, and joined the intro community. That’s when I learned that Scratch is more than a platform for kids to make games—it’s a community, and I’m so glad I had a part in it. I’m still going to draw and do skins and all the stuff I’ve been doing. It’s going to be more laid-back though, now that I’m going into high school and I don’t have to worry about meeting deadlines for Scratch contests. I’m keeping my projects up though, and someday I’ll see my growth. I’m going to improve my art and find inspiration and grow. I’ve done that for a year on Scratch, and now it’s time for next steps. Thanks so much to everyone here who’s supported me, helped me, inspired me, and talked to me in the Scratch community, I’ve had a wonderful year with you guys, and I hope someday I’ll come back here and visit. I want to. But I don’t know if I have the time. That’s why this isn’t just called “leaving”—I’m optimistic that I will return. But until then, thank you, and goodbye.
