Click on the dark-grey rock to mine it. Once you have mined it you will get one point. If a new high-score is being made two rainbow lines will appear. While you are mining you may find diamonds and gold, once you have found this you do not need to mine it to receive a bundle of points you will receive the points when the gold or diamond appears. Click the n-key to load a new area. Reminder: If you fail to click the dark-grey rock and click the light-grey rock you will receive 0 points.
