All writing by me! This took me, like, 20 minutes XD Driveway cover from Pinterest. Enjoy!-- You look at yourself in the mirror. All you see is lazy and greasy. But you put your hair up high and say, “I am going for a walk. By myself.” You head downstairs to the kitchen. Your dad is cooking again, and you don’t know what, but it smells incredible. You decide not to disturb him. Dadio, on the other hand, is writing his new short story. You peek in and see him sketching away. He’s working on the character, you remind yourself. You tap on the doorframe, “Hello?” Dadio looks up, smiling. “What’s up, Sweets?” “I’d like to walk down the driveway.” “Of course! Permission, granted.” You smile and stroll out the door. You are one of those “unfortunate” people who has an extremely long driveway, and it isn’t straight. Your driveway is covered in trees and sheltered from humanity. Which you love. You begin walking. After 20 seconds, you come to a quiet stop. A female deer is eating with a buck. The buck’s antlers are beautiful, and you stare in awe. Eventually, you know you must continue, and so the deer are left to enjoy their food and twitch their giant, beautiful ears. You stop at a nice tree. Usually, you don’t notice the beauty of your driveway. The tree is a willow tree, and you decide it is your favorite type of tree. Its calm branches hang down, creating a calm and safe space. You make a mental note: Read books under that tree! You notice even more as you go along. Butterflies, mushrooms, bees, and even a family of birds. You are awestruck. As you walk back to your house, you remember that that was just your driveway. Not a nature trail, but your driveway. Imagine what else is out there…
