So I was looking through my wips, found this random list of dark forest moves, remembered I was going to make this, and finally finished it. Enjoy! revisiting this with a note: this is based SOLELY on canon warriors material ———————— table of contents ———————— EXERCISES 1. hitting a stick TECHNIQUES 1. tucking tail 2. flattening fur 3. darting in and darting out 4. attacking from the high ground 5. tree climbing MOVES 1. hind paws 2. spin hind kick 3. forepaws + hindpaws 4. also forepaws + hindpaws 5. advanced badger defense 6. confusing forepaw attack 7. attacking someone from their back 8. attacking leg tendons 9. belly slash 10. killing bite note: explanations in quotes are from the warriors fandom wiki! ———————— EXERCISES: 1. hitting a stick: self-explanatory - improves strength and accuracy - possible thing to work on for the first few training sessions or training sessions with younger cats (thatsittheresonlyonelol) ———————— TECHNIQUES: 1. tucking tail: learning to keep balance while tucking one’s tail in - have an easier time moving your tail out of the way during battle - effectively evade tail attacks - does take a long time to learn though 2. flattening fur: self-explanatory - appear weaker/less menacing (deception) 3. darting in and darting out: darting in, attacking, and immediately darting out - quick, effective, and annoying 4. attacking from the high ground: attacking from the high ground (like on rocks and stuff) without getting counterattacked - can be a group session 5. tree climbing: climbing trees and falling from heights - can be a good advantage ———————— MOVES: 1. hind paws: shift weight to forepaws and kick with hind paws - attacking with hind legs because they’re stronger 2. spin hind kick: “flick your hind legs into the air while spinning around on your forepaws, then rear up and rake at the enemy with your claws before tucking your head down and perform a forward roll.” 3. forepaws + hindpaws: switching between attacking with forepaws to attacking with hindpaws. 4. also forepaws + hindpaws: used when surrounded by enemies. attack front enemies with forepaws and use hind paws to get the enemies behind - can also be group session 5. advanced badger defense: “leap over opponent, turn on your back legs, and, while turning, rake your claws on opponent's back. then sink teeth into opponent's leg. used only when fighting badgers.” 6. confusing forepaw attack: “dart under your enemy's underbelly, slashing at the back of their forepaws. when they twist, expecting you to emerge on the other side, back quickly out of the way you came. hook your claws into your enemies fur, and drag them to the ground.” 7. attacking someone from their back: “ leap onto an enemy's back, and hold their head with your forepaws and use your hindpaws to knock their hindlegs out from under them, thus making them collapse to the ground.” 8. attacking leg tendons: quickly and fiercely attacking the tendons on your opponent’s hind legs - makes them lose balance 9. belly slash: pretty self-explanatory, just attacking the belly - causes a lot of damage 10. killing bite: also pretty self-explanatory ———————— that’s it for now
remember that this is based entirely off notes I made a year ago and forgot about, which is definitely not the most reliable source (if you see something wrong please lmk so I can fix it!!) sources - the warriors fandom wiki and good amount of time spent at the library okay so this is less of a “training” guide and more of a “moves” guide, and it’s actually less of a moves “guide” and more like moves “notes,” but “dark forest training guide” sounds infinitely better than “dark forest moves notes” so—
