Get hit while you have none, and the game ends. You can sometimes get life pieces (Small, incomplete hearts), Collect 5 for an extra life (Extend!) - Bomb Charge (Green meter with the star) : Whenever you graze bullets (Barely avoid them), the gauge fills up a little. Once it starts flashing, you can spend the gauge to use a bomb. - Power (The number next to the P) : Lets you deal more damage (Up to 4x). Certain amounts (1, 2, 3, 4) of Power will also increase the range of your shot. Be warned you lose some of it every time you're hit. - Points (The blue number in the top right) : Gained by destroying enemies, grazing bullets, and defeating a boss without dying or running out of time. At the end of each wave, the points are added to your overall score. - Point challenge (Red number under points) : A number that gets bigger with every wave. Completing a wave with a higher amount of points will reward you with a life piece. - The areas will get harder with each one you complete. How long will you last?
This was a remix I decided to do while I took a break from another project I was working on. I really liked the patterns and gameplay @JBen2014 had made, as it reminded me of a concept for a Touhou roguelite I was thinking about before Touhou 18.5 was announced, so I decided to see what I could do in terms of expanding the already given gameplay. With all that being said, I am 100% expecting some bugs to come out of my meddling, so please let me know what decided to start exploding behind my back ^_^;.
