A thousand years ago, her great great great times something-or-other grandmother stole a sacred item from the humans. The humans called in their mages, who cursed Pumpkin's family for all of eternity to be cat-people. 11-year-old Pumpkin stole a golden carrot. She didn't know it was magical but it gave her superstrength. She was sent into exile by the humans. She stole it five years ago. Now she lives alone on an island with over a hundred cats. Her best friend is an owl named Ari and she was recently introduced to the anthro-feline Kira and the vampire Elenor.
