On March 20, 1979, people across the world woke up to discover that there was a new independent country on the world stage, Yucatán. There was one discrepancy about it, however; no one, not even the country from which its territory was carved from nor the people living within its borders, knew that it had been created, and yet it seemed as if Yucatán had always existed. Only its government officials knew of its sudden existence, headed up by "President" Nicolás Delahoz, a person who had never existed until now. What's worse, the state was decidedly totalitarian with a closed border and most of its human freedoms revoked. Mexico has apparently fought a civil war against a country that did not exist yesterday. President Delahoz cannot be contacted. The people of Yucatán cannot be rescued from the nightmare that is the new country.
