(Sips tea) (Minor mention of blood) -Bio- Name: Oceani Spiritus, (or The ocean's breath.) Gender: Female Species: Seacat (basically a water cat) Personality: quiet but adventurous, doesn’t like big crowds Backstory: Oceani grew up in the second darkest deepest part of the sea on Paradisi, (the planet she originated from) the water pressure didn’t affect her, her parents named her Oceani Spiritus, but she also came to be known as The ocean's breath, because she was quiet like a gentle breeze on the ocean's surface. after Oceani's 15th birthday, she began to notice things: one the water in the ocean was getting colder, two there were less fish than normal, and three the glowing orbs that lit her homeworld were growing dim, she brought this up with her parents multiple times, every time they told her it was nothing, but she knew they were lying, they way they looked at each other before answering, and shuffled their paws with discomfort, this caused her to seek her own answers, late one night she snuck past her parent's room, and slipped out the door, she swam out into the deepest darkest part of the ocean where her parents had forbid her to go, she figured since they weren’t going to give her answers, she would break rules and find them on her own. After about an hour she could barely see four feet in front of or behind her, so she just keep swimming straight, until something began to circle her, she first noticed when she heard a woosh near her ear, then she felt scales brush up against her, a sea serpent just great, she'd heard tales about them from her parents, they were dangerous bloodthirsty underwater reptiles with claw-like tails, that would love nothing more than a snack, as the serpent swam closer, she swam faster than she ever had, swimming into its side left her frozen with fear as she realized that this serpent was big enough to swallow her whole, in her fear she didn’t see the sharp tail flying at her face till it was too late, she was sent flying into a rock formation, and a long bleeding gash ran right across the middle of her face between her eyes. She couldn’t move, wether it was fear or shock from the impact, she could barely move one paw, she closed her eyes and accepted her fate as this serpent's dinner, but when she never felt it come near her she opened her eyes, a figure, a bright white, glowing silhouette, was floating between her and the serpent, now able to see, Oceani could see the serpent looked terrified of the figure and swam away hurriedly, the figure turn to her. ‘Hello’ Oceani thought she heard a voice, but the figure's mouth hadn’t moved at all ‘hello’ it side again repeated itself, Oceani just stared at it, ‘ah telepathy, sorry I haven’t talked to anyone in so long I forgot It scared people,’ Oceani nodded slightly, then calmed herself, “hi I'm Ocea-” ‘I know who you are Oceani.’ Spiritus nodded slightly, “I suppose you know why I'm here than?” She asked the figure nodded, ‘yes Oceani, you seek answers, and I come to you with what you seek, you must return to your village, you must convince them to head to land, it is their only chance, lest they be consumed by the darkness consuming the rest of these waters’ Oceani nodded, but worry flooded through her though, “How will we find land, and how do I get home?” The white figure came closer, ‘I will lead you there,’ it paused, and reached for Oceani's paw, ‘May I?” “Sure?” Oceani replied, she was unsure how this figure was going to help but she wasn’t going to stop it from helping. As the figure touched her paw, a white glow erupted from it, and Oceani had to close her eyes, she opened one first,’where did it go?’ She wondered, ‘I'm here.’ The voice replied, causing Oceani to jump, ‘I have joined with you, we are one, now I may lead you home.’ Spiritus blinked, opening her other eye, the same white glow resonated from it, ‘take me home.’ She asked the voice, ‘Ok.’ It replied simply. Then Oceani's eye lit a white glow in a direction, ‘now you may find your way’ it replied Oceani expected, well she wasn’t sure what she expected, but this took her by surprise, “thank you.” She said, following the light. She saw the weak light of her village, as she approached she saw her parents swimming toward her hurriedly, they embraced for a moment, “Oceani where have you been, we were worried.” Her father asked. Oceani blinked looking back at them, “Answers.” She replied simply. Her mom looked at her white eye and scar, “what happened?” She asked. Oceani, pointed to the scar, “ran into a sea serpent.” She said replied, then pointed to her eye, “and answers.” She didn’t wait for her parents to ask more questions, the lights were growing darker at an alarming rate, the rest or the seacats where outside, her friends rushed up to her, and they took turns embracing her, Oceani nodded to them, then swam over to a rock.
Oceani suddenly realized she would have to speak to all the Seacats, and she grew nervous, ‘I don't think I can do this.’ She thought, ‘Don't worry, you’ll be fine, beside everyone knows something's wrong, they might as well listen,’ the voice replied reassuringly ‘thanks.’ Oceani nodded, then cleared her throat, “seacats, as you know my name is Oceani, I request your attention, and that you listen to the news I bring from the deep,” as she finished she saw head turn, she thought they would all ignore her but in this desperate time, she guessed they would listen to whatever and whoever for help. “darkness is consuming the sea, as you know water is turning cold and food is becoming scarce, there are less kits now than there have ever been in our village, I beg of you all for the sake of all our future's please, come with me to land.” The crowd looked skeptical, and Oceani knew it, ‘I knew it, I failed.’ She then heard a voice from behind her, her dad, “I believe what Oceani is saying,” he cut off another SeaCat who raised their paw, “not just because she is my daughter, but because everything she has said is true, if she believes we need to leave our watery homes, we should, it can’t be worse than it already is.” Slowly the crowd nodded to one one another. And that’s what they did, the seacat left the ocean and found land, as Oceani, the last cat to leave the water left the water ice covered the ocean, and the as the seacats now say, “the breath of the ocean left, and the ocean breathed it's last.” For the ocean's blue surface made waves no more as gentle breezes glided across it.
